Sales and Training techniques to help you in the development of your business and personal life!
I was born and raised in Jeannette, PA. My parents were great role models for my sisters and me. I said many times that my mom, has been my true mentor in my life. Her positive outlook on everything and her leadership skills while she was alive is how I've looked at life everyday. Growing up in Jeannette, I learned what "team" meant through playing football. From my freshmen through senior year, our teams won 38 games and lost only 4. You see, winning was what we were brought up to do. My coach Joe Mucci was a legend and to play for him meant everything to a young kid. When my mom passed away, Coach Mucci was one of the first to show up at her funeral. What an impression he had on me as a leader. I also had the pleasure throughout high school, being class president. I enjoyed leading my friends and classmates throughout our high school years.
I spent 4 great years at Clarion University of PA earning a BS in Business Management and a minor in Real Estate. My true education at Clarion was really re-building a broken down fraternity that had financial and membership issues. We turned this fraternity around and it became one of the top fraternities on campus. I was president of the fraternity in the years it made it's turnaround. We were successful at beating our membership and financial goals. I also was instrumental in developing and bringing to Clarion the Management Association group. This was a focus group for future managers that could brainstorm together and prepare for our future careers. At Clarion, I met some of my best friends that I still enjoy spending time with.
After graduation, I started my career at Hoss's Steak and Sea House as a manager. I credit this company for helping me develop my leadership and training skills. I spent six years with Hoss's with four of them in a General Manager position at several locations. During my tenure at Hoss's, several influential people came into my life that impacted how I developed my skills as a leader. One in particular, Kim Snyder, one of my G.M.'s early in my career became very instrumental in the development of my people skills. I learned a great deal from her on how to effectively treat people and how to get results out of them.
Kim had a great effect on both my professional and personal life. Kim became my wife in 1993. I still believe she is one of the best motivators I've ever met. I have the utmost professional respect for her skills. I am so happy that we can provide this website as a tool, together, to you.
In 1995, I went on to a young growing concept in the Italian Ovens. I spent over 3 years in several positions leading up to an Area Manager position overseeing 5 locations. I enjoyed implementing several of the training techniques that I had learned from Hoss's. We saw great successes in our 5 locations. My role as Area Manager lasted just about 2 years.
After a brief stint with AFC Enterprises in 1998, I decided to try out sales with Reinhart Foodservice. What an excellent decision. I have grown with a leading organization and have enjoyed success every year in sales. I've taken on a newly created position within Reinhart Foodservice. I am a National Accounts Manager/Business Development Agent. I travel throughout the country developing relationships with large accounts. Prior to this position, I was a Regional Manager with Reinhart. I managed 9 sales consultants and enjoyed providing excellent leadership to both my reps. and their customers. I've enjoyed 9 great years with Reinhart and continue to learn and grow everyday.
I've grown over the years professionally, but mostly personally. It is what you do personally to grow yourself that helps and effects your professional career. I have grown to be more involved in my faith. Through chairing the Pastoral Council at my Church, assisting in several fundraising events and committees and helping to start our Religious Education Board, I've met many great people and expanded my leadership skills.
I hope to expand my career through this website. Meaning, I hope that the tips that we can provide to you will help in the growth of your organization. I sincerely enjoy seeing other people succeed through my assistance. I'm sure that with my 25 years of experience in Food Service, you will learn something that may help you grow. I look forward to the future and our continued success!
Thank you and Great Selling!
